@padm1234567 Not sure on this one… anyone else know?
Hi davomrmac great videos, thanks a lot…hoping this will be my nxt cell. One question which i am not sure has been asked, pls excuse me if this a repeated one. What is the exact storage available on the phone for applications?? i am asking about the phone storage and not the SD card memory. I have heard its quite less jst about 120 mb…..is this true?? if so ,is this really enough???
@drieschnoronha Whilst Froyo 2.2 is reported to solve this issue, I have concerns that when HTC update the Desire it will not implement this. Only time will tell.
@davomrmac Once again thanks for the prompt reply, however do you know whether Froyo 2.2 wil solve the issue of being unable to install apps on SD Cards?
@drieschnoronha Froyo 2.2 will come to the HTC in a while. Rooting means hacking your device really, it then allows you to modify things so apps can be installed on memory card. Sorry I can’t link you to it.
@davomrmac Thanks for your response, but I am new to the Android market so I am not sure what you mean by “root”. If you could please post a link as to what and how it can be done.
Also do you know whether Android 2.2 has been released and whether HTC will be releasing an update for the Desire? Will it possibly cover this issue?
As I reside in the UK, the HTC Incredible would have been the better choice due to 8GB internal memory, however it is not released here and doesn’t look that great?
@drieschnoronha If you root the device to modify it, then I think this is possible.
Hey Dave! Wanted to know if there was a possible way of installing apps to a SD Card!
I heard you mention in the video that the apps are usually relatively small so space is not an issue, however for me it is quite annoying when a constant notification pops up sayin low memory.
I know its possible to download uninstalled apps however i wouldn’t like to waste time on that.
So do you know of any way of installing apps to SD Card or whether new Android OS for Desire will be sorting this issue out!
@unknown110101 Yes, you can, but it might result in the OS not working.
nice vids! one question that i didint see anyone asked; can u remove preinstaled apps (stack android or htc sense) like facebook app,twitter…
and can u disable htc sense by manage apps or something?
how do you get MS Office on the HTC Desire?
@twist0610 Desire for sure.
i really need some help deciding,,HTC HD2 or DESIRE or maybe xperia x10?????
@prakhar26 I could never recommend a Nokia over the Desire at the moment. Android and the handset wins hands down.
Hey dave could u please suggest if i should go for HTC Desire or Nokia N8, Desire has got android but Nokia N8 is media heavy but OS is not that good. Pleeeeeeease HELP!
@davomrmac thanks
anyone help me…..
how to change/add cover album for mp3 song on my desire?
i don’t know why my mp3 player cover album already fix to my friend photo.
i get mp3 song from bluetooth and my friend photo also from bluetooth.
i already delete my friend photo but my cover album still using same picture.
plzz help me
@kartheekzzz yes it does.
@gonie36 press menu, then settings, then applications, then manage applications. Remove them from there.
@mabaker umm…it’s not a copy, it’s completely different from iPhone copy ‘n paste
As i work more on office related stuff, it would be extremely helpful for me if you can clear my doubt. Does this HTC Desire support MS WORD, POWER POINT, EXCEL AND PDF??? If the answer is yes then i would seriously consider buying this phone.
Thank you.
can anyone tell me how to delete apps you’ve downloaded??
@baupautje Yes, profiles and scenes.
Does it have profiles? Like weekend or work profiles where the background soundoptions etc are different from one another
@mabaker lol.
Some time ago, I did need to buy a building for my firm but I did not earn enough money and couldn’t purchase anything. Thank heaven my mother suggested to try to take the mortgage loans at reliable bank. So, I acted so and used to be happy with my credit loan.
